Meet our Principals and Staff:

Tony A. Hayslip,  ABR/AREPCEO

Tony A. Hayslip, ABR/AREP, Chief Executive Officer

Tony has worked exclusively in the pharmacy industry since 1982. He began his career with a major U. S. drug store chain, and in 1994 his focus shifted to specializing in representing independent pharmacy owners. The mission was to insure a fair deal for his clients. The efforts in handling the sell/buy process for these individuals has made him a highly successful and coveted pharmacy broker.

By handling hundreds of pharmacy sale transactions, he has been involved with all sides of the business dealings. This experience and high level of integrity makes him one of the few experts in the industry capable of handling deals from A-Z.

Tony holds the Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) designation, the benchmark of excellence in buying/selling representation. He also retains the highly Accredited Real Estate Professional (AREP) designation.

Rick Lewellen - Sr. Vice President

Rick Lewellen - Sr. Vice President

Rick Lewellen has more than 30 years of financial and business experience in the pharmacy industry. He was with a major food/drug combo chain, then a national drug store chain, and more recently as a successful specialized broker for independent pharmacy business sales. An industry veteran for sure.

Rick's experience in Pharmacy sales was/is a specialty. During his chain stints, he held the title of Regional Controller in charge of accounting and pharmacy transactions for several states. Rick then served as the Senior Director of Pharmacy Acquisitions for a major drug store chain and was responsible for their entire national pharmacy transactions program. Thus, he has more than 1,000 pharmacy sales transactions under his belt. At Hayslip Pharmacy Brokers Inc., Rick uses his expertise to serve independent owners in the process of valuing, selling, or buying pharmacies. Rick comprehends the real world challenges an independent pharmacy faces every day, be it from competition, insurance companies, or regulatory agencies. He understands both the true value of your business and the perceived value from outsiders, and uses that knowledge to help you get the best price.

Michael Beller - Attorney

Wayne Lankford, R.Ph - Vice President

Wayne Lankford graduated from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in 1971, and began his extensive retail pharmacy career.  He grew up in his family’s independent grocery store, and worked with his hometown pharmacy before joining one of the nation’s largest chains. 

Wayne has earned many titles over his successful career.  He served as a Pharmacy Manager, District Manager, Regional Director of Pharmacy, and Director of Real Estate for a major chain. As a Director of Pharmacy Acquisitions he has completed hundreds of drug store transactions. He has truly experienced every aspect of retail pharmacy.

Wayne’s retail expertise has spanned over many years and over twenty states.  He knows the forces at play in this ever-changing world of pharmacy today and knows how to maximize the value of your pharmacy.

Paul Disch - Vice President

Paul Disch - Vice President

Paul has recently surpassed the 46-year mark in the pharmacy industry, working exclusively in the combined independent and chain drug store realm since 1976. Paul earned his BBA in Business from East Texas State University in 1980.

Paul’s years of experience in the operation and management of drug stores, along with his leadership in the execution of thousands of drug store projects nationwide, have combined to provide him with a wealth of knowledge to tap as he encounters independent pharmacy owners from all walks of life with a variety of offerings to market.

Throughout his career, Paul has experienced the acquisition process from both selling and buying perspectives. He understands the challenges of independent pharmacy ownership and will work to develop an exit strategy with the greatest possible outcome based on the owner’s priorities and objectives.

Paul’s strengths include a high level of commitment to excellence in his work, with great communication skills including an emphasis on listening to the concerns of the pharmacy owner. Confidentiality is a critical everyday facet of Paul’s work as he brings sellers and buyers together.

Mark Dobbins

Mark Dobbins - Vice President

Mark Dobbins has been in the pharmacy broker business for 9 years assisting buyers and sellers of independent pharmacies. After a successful career in advertising, Mark started in the pharmacy brokerage business and was a top producer within 2 years. Mark prides himself in developing relationships with clients which translates to a smooth transaction for the pharmacy owner, before, during and after the sale.

Through relationships and networking, Mark finds buyers for pharmacies where other brokers have failed. Mark has represented the sellers of some of the largest pharmacy transactions over the past few years. Mark is an expert in pharmacy sales/financing and valuations on the West coast, which gives our clients peace of mind that their store is in good hands.

John Pross

John's career as a general manager, territory manager, and one of the pioneering retail pharmacy business coaches at a major pharmacy wholesaler firm has not only been rewarding but very satisfying helping pharmacy owners all over the country. He honed his knack for guiding pharmacy owners through the nuances of profitability and operational excellence for many years. With over 30 years of immersive experience, John has become the go-to advisor for pharmacy ownership at all stages—buying, growing, operating, and selling.

His role in the pharmacy buy/sell space marries his comprehensive industry knowledge with a genuine desire to support entrepreneurs in making informed decisions about their pharmacy ventures.
